- A Home Therapy nurse is responsible for training home hemo or peritoneal dialysis patients both in-center and sometimes at the patient's home.
- Qualified candidates with backgrounds in in-center hemodialysis, critical care, and home health will receive training.
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm; Flexible schedules may be possible based on patient caseload.
- Competitive on-call pay opportunities available when participating in the on-call rotation.
- Holidays: Home Training Nurses typically do not work on holidays.

Position Overview: Home Therapy Registered Nurse
As a Home Therapy Registered Nurse at USRC, you will be responsible for providing patient training and ongoing support to individuals opting for a home dialysis modality. Your role involves delivering high-quality care and ensuring exceptional customer service in all interactions, both internally and externally.
- Compliance: Stay informed and adhere to federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to home dialysis programs and patient care requirements.
- Patient Training: Train patients in self-care Peritoneal Dialysis or Hemodialysis based on federal and state regulations.
- Home Visits: Conduct home visits to assess the patient's environment and routinely evaluate patient performance.
- Documentation: Thoroughly document all nursing services in the Electronic Medical Record for continuity of care.
- Infection Control: Participate in infection control monitoring and implement procedures as necessary.
- Emergency Preparedness: Ensure home patients are familiar with emergency procedures.
- Supply Management: Manage clinic and patient supply inventory efficiently.
- Quality Improvement: Continuously track and analyze program and patient performance to enhance outcomes.
- Laboratory Tests: Administer routine and non-routine laboratory tests as ordered.
- Medication Management: Complete monthly medication profile reviews and administer medications as prescribed.
- On-call Services: Provide on-call nursing services as per rotational schedule.
- Flexibility: Be adaptable with staffing locations and hours to meet patient and program needs.
- Attendance: Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Home Hemodialysis Focus
- Equipment Coordination: Coordinate home evaluation to meet equipment requirements before patient acceptance.
- Water Sampling: Ensure proper water sampling per policy and report results accordingly.
