You will also be responsible for integrating new system features, improving functionality, and providing technical support.
ManTech is currently looking for Cloud Software Engineers to join our team in the Ft. Meade, MD area . In this role, you will develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse Big-Data cloud systems based upon documented requirements.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Design and develop software solutions using Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with team members to determine best practices and client requirements for software.
- Develop high-quality software design and architecture.
- Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.
- Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code.
- Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
- Review and debug code.
- Perform validation and verification testing.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products.
- Document development phases and monitor systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required Or 4 additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- 3 years of experience in software development/engineering in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Strong programming skills in one or more languages (e.g. Go, Python, Java)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps principles
- Hands-on experience with container technologies (Docker, containerd) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Helm).
Certification requirements:
One or more of the following is required or must be able to obtain one:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional
- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have current/active TS/SCI w Polygraph
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
