JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX News Media is looking for a Freelance Associate Producer for One Nation w/ Brian Kilmeade. As a Freelance Associate Producer, you have sharp editorial, writing, and copyediting skills and can recognize stories with high potential. You are a proactive, passionate, and self-motivated individual who can handle breaking news well and can implement last-minute changes effectively. You are a team player who collaborates with a variety of editorial staff, guests, and technical teams.

Cover breaking news events and pitch story ideasParticipate in editorial planningConduct research and pre-interviews on a wide range of topicsWrite stories, guest intros, teases, banners, and questionsSelect elements such as sound, video clips, and graphics to help tell a story

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience2+ years of experience working in a newsroomAbility to work in a deadline-driven environment and work under pressure in a fast-paced newsroomMust know current events and have a desire to be precise, quick, and accurateFlexibility to work unconventional hours in a 24-hour news environment such as weekends, overnights, or holidays

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $ per hour. We provide Freelancers medical/dental/vision insurance and 401k after they meet eligibility criteria and any State required time-off, in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
