This is a full-time position on-site with the Transportation Security Laboratory (TSL), located at the William J. Hughes Technical Center, Atlantic City International Airport, NJ.As a chemical hygiene specialist you will: Manage the TSL Chemical Hygiene Program, to include support for all testing and operations involving chemicals and the Hazardous materials and Hazardous Waste programs.Manage TSL's Industrial Hygiene program.Manage TSL's spill response program.Chemical hygiene specialist requirements: BS in Chemistry, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or similar chemistry-related field from an accredited college or university.Substantial knowledge of toxicology and a minimum of years' specialized experience managing a facility Chemical Hygiene Program, preferably in a laboratory environment.Working knowledge of health and safety regulations (TSL, OSHA, MSHA, etcRequires Secret Security Clearance or higher and DHS Suitability, or ability to obtain within days of hire.The corporation also provides sophisticated technical products for environmental site characterization, pavement analysis, and robotics.
