The Position
The purpose of this role is to drive innovation in analytical techniques to advance the quality and speed of data derived insights. This role will bridge functional lines in the commercial analytics organization and eliminate barriers and silos inherent in a decentralized analytics community. This role will serve as a subject matter expert in the application of sales, marketing, market access, and trade analytics.
Relationships
This position will report to a Director/Sr. Director of Semaglutide Insights & Analytics. Will also work closely with Associate Manager, Semaglutide Integrated Analytics. Extensive interaction with the Novo Nordisk analytics community including brand analytics, sales analytics, market access analytics, advanced analytics, data strategy and IT. Other areas of collaboration include but aren't limited to Finance, Marketing, Sales Execution, Market Access Strategy and Global Functions. External relationships include secondary data vendors and information technology developers.
Essential Functions
AnalysisUnderstand organizational priorities and strategies and develop an analytical plan to support the organizational goalsPioneer new ways to generate analytical insights through a deep understanding of existing data assetsIdentify new tools to gain greater efficiencies in deriving analytical insights and drive implementation of tools across the analytics communityUtilize existing analytic tools including Python, R, Alteryx, etc. to derive insights from complex data sourcesLead efforts to explore new data sources and build recommendations for organizational priorities in data purchasesBuild business use cases to gain Privacy and Compliance department approval to appropriately analyze patient-level data compliantlyLead the development of insight pathways into consumer behavior by building expansive data models incorporating disjointed data setsDemocratize analytical developments to the broad Novo Nordisk analytics communityIdentify gaps in current analytical pathways and recommend enhancements to better inform strategic and tactical decision makingDemonstrate competencies across descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analyticsLink analytic priorities to organizational strategy to effectively demonstrate business impact in recommendations to key stakeholdersCollaborationWork seamlessly with other members of the Sema Integrated Analytics TeamShare learnings with all members of analytics communityDevelop close and impactful relationships with data governance, patient privacy, and compliance departmentsEffectively work with Data Strategy and IT to ensure data and technical resources are available for data explorationDevelop productive working relationships with Sales Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Advanced Analytics and Market Access AnalyticsCommunicationDevelop impactful story lines to drive business decision making Physical Requirements 0-10% overnight travel required. QualificationsA minimum of a Bachelor 's degree required, preferably in Math, Science, Statistics, Computer Science or EngineeringA minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in life science analytics required; Preferrably supporting a commercial/marketing organization.
