As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking Wealth Management, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities

  • Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
  • Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
  • Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
  • Writes automation test scripts for integration and end to end level for each module using (Rest Assured, Selenium, Cypress, Java, Cucumber)
  • Writes and reviews automation scriptsfor Web-Services Testing (SOAP and REST services using Rest assured and Java based framework)
  • Works closely with product team to prepare test data requirements, document and proactively work with different teams to setup the data
  • Identifies hidden problems and patterns in the automation pipeline that drives improvements for software deployment in an Agile environment
  • Coordinates and orchestrates end to end testing needs involving large numbers of teams across different Lines of Business in an Agile environment

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
  • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Expert in writing automation test script for integration and end to end level for each module utilizing (Rest Assured, Selenium, Cypress, Java, Cucumber)
  • Expert in scripting for Web-Services Testing (SOAP and REST services using Rest assured and Java based framework)
  • Experience in end to end testing requirements for the products involving multiple applications and systems in an agile environment
  • Strong in preparing test plans, test data requirements and test strategies with product teams
  • Experience in identifying hidden problems and patterns within the automation pipeline driving improvements for software development
  • Strong leadership experience in coordinating and delivering end to end testing needs involving large numbers of teams across different Lines of Business

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Familiar with tools (PACT and Spring Cloud Contract for API testing)
  • Familiar with designing and building infrastructure tools for managing and storing test data
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
  • Practical cloud native experience (AWS preferred)
  • Experience with Service and Data virtualization to innovate solutions for scrum teams across products to achieve end to end testing
