Position Overview:

As a Plant Engineer reporting to the Plant Manager, you will ensure the highest level of reliability for plant equipment through dedicated support for the Performance System, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and strong ownership of the Maintenance Excellence process.


Key Responsibilities:

Lead comprehensive safety processes to prevent injuries and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations.

Implement and maintain a reliability-centered maintenance process to enhance machine uptime, improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), and reduce operational costs.

Provide leadership to the maintenance department to achieve and sustain high standards of plant condition and equipment performance.

Ensure maintenance personnel possess the appropriate skills, are qualified, and proficient. Support technical training and development. Manage and execute capital projects, participate in annual plant budgeting, and manage department spending.

Apply reliability tools to determine root causes of critical equipment failures and downtime, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.

Serve as a key member of the plant leadership team, driving plant/process improvements, meeting objectives, and setting performance standards. Support continuous improvement activities.

Identify and support technical training and development for department employees.

We'd Love to Hear From You If:

You have 3+ years of successful experience leading a plant maintenance department in an industrial manufacturing environment and/or 5+ years of supervisory manufacturing experience.

You hold a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or a related field.

You have experience with CMMS. You have experience in the TPM or Reliability field.

You have a strong understanding of OSHA requirements related to in-house equipment and the ability to identify gaps and implement countermeasures to achieve Zero Safety Incidents.

You can lead and develop a highly collaborative and effective team. You possess excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills. You are proficient in Root Cause Analysis techniques (FMEA's, 5Why's, ATS, etc.)
and developing/implementing Countermeasures to drive a Zero Breakdown culture. You have a basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, instrumentation, lubrication, and predictive maintenance. You can effectively learn the plant's equipment and processes.

You have the ability to manage costs and optimize expenses. You are proficient in Microsoft Office and have experience with CMMS.

Experience with CMMS, TPM, or Reliability field, and a strong understanding of OSHA requirements is preferred.

The ability to lead and develop a team, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in Root Cause Analysis techniques are essential.
