JOB TITLE:

Data Scientist

JOB DUTIES:

Apply and integrate statistical, mathematical, and predictive modeling and business analysis skills to manage and manipulate complex high-volume data from a variety of sources. Develop and maintain infrastructure systems that connect internal data sets. Create new data collection frameworks for structured and unstructured data. Analyze structured and unstructured data associated with claims, policy, payment activities, and benefit eligibility adjudication decisions to solve complex business problems. Match incumbents responsible for creating linkages between databases to this function. Match incumbents responsible for building databases and database systems to IT function.

SALARY:

$108,900.00 per year

WORK SCHEDULE:

Full-time, 40 hours/week, Mon - Fri 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Data Science, Business Analytics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or closely related field, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered, as Data Analyst, Engineer, or related experience involving analyzing and modeling data. Full term of experience must include each of the following: Advanced analytical and modeling data capabilities utilizing Python and/or R; Rational Database Management System (RDBMS) technologies including SQL server, Greenplum, and Oracle; Use of version control tools such as GitHub or GitLab; and Data visualization tools including Spotfire, Tableau, Business Power Intelligence, and/or Business Objects.
