Our work depends on a SI&T Combat System Interface Baseline Lead joining our team to support the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) activities in the Northern Virginia and Washington DC areas.

As a SI&T Combat System Interface Baseline Lead supporting PEO IWS, you will be trusted to bring together a multi-disciplinary team that is geographically dispersed to provide engineering planning, design, integration, installation, and test of Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) onboard ships post-construction and during maintenance availabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for the Combat System Installation Engineering knowledge for 1st and 2nd digit baselines. Specific responsibilities include:
- Understand Naval Sea Systems Command and Military standards/specifications for cables and connectors
- Translate system requirements into interface cabling designs
- Interpret and validate Interface Control Drawings (ICDs) for cabinets and equipment in the Aegis Combat System
- Verify interface requirements and types
- Review GFI to identify interface requirements and coordinate with stakeholders
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- A degree in Engineering or related discipline/experience is required.
- A US DoD Secret security clearance is required.
- Over Ten (10+) years of experience as a Combat System Maintenance Manager (CSMM) [or equivalent] on platforms with the Aegis Combat System
- Over two (2+) years direct experience in the engineering, installation and/or operation of the Aegis Combat System onboard US Navy ships or Aegis Ashore.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of the larger GDIT Navy and Marine Corps Sector
- A demonstrated ability to work across the Navy/Marine Corps major stakeholder organizations and in particular an understanding of the relationships between NAVSEA, PEO IWS and the Fleet Commands is required to perform this role.
