Summary

You will serve as an INSPECTOR GENERAL in the OFFICE OF INSPECTOR GENERAL of NAVAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL.



Duties
  • You will manage the Naval Postgraduate School Oversight Program, the Department of the Navy Hotline Program, and all external audits, inspections, and command directed investigations.
  • You will initiate investigations, and act as the review authority for investigations of allegations concerning fraud, waste, abuse, mismanagement, and other improprieties.
  • You will ensure all investigative reports are thoroughly prepared to assure complaints or allegations have been adequately addresses and remedial actions, including legal, contractual, administrative, and disciplinary actions have been addressed.
  • You will manage all input to the Naval Inspector General Hotline Tracking System (NIGHTS), which is the DON management information system for data related to hotline investigations.
  • You will compile and analyze data, recognize trends, and employ various investigate methods as required from the developments of the case.
  • You will manage the certification and credentialing process for inspector generals, coordinate work assignments, provide advice and counsel, evaluate work performance, identify training needs, and take disciplinary measures as required.
