Pratt Institute is seeking a detailed-oriented Payroll Specialist with strong analytical skills and exemplary customer service skills to join the Controller's Office team.

As the Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining assigned payrolls. If you can plan and deliver high-quality skills to a diverse population and the handling of a multi-million-dollar payroll, then we want to hear from you

Key Essential Duties include the following:

Process payrolls assigned for our:

  • Facilities Management and Public Safety officers on a weekly basis.
  • Part-time faculty on a semi-monthly basis.
  • Administrative staff and students on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Full-time faculty on a monthly basis.
  • UtilizePaylocity (our online payroll), Kronos (time & attendance), Colleague, Docuware, and NextGen software (student employment systems) to process and resolve issues.
  • Maintain Excel spreadsheets to track payroll information including new hires, terminations, salary, and budgets.
  • Work closely with Human Resources and other campus departments responsible for submitting information pertaining to payroll actions.
  • Perform all other related duties as required.
