Our client manufactures complex, close tolerance and precision-machined componenets and assemblies for applications in aerospace, defense and other industrial OEM's. With over 100 CNC machines that perform milling, turning and other functions, they are able to provide the highest quality products for their customers. They are currently looking to add a CMM Programmer to their team with experience in PC-DMIS programming.

Job Description

Develop, implement, and optimize CMM programs using PC-DMIS.Conduct inspections and measurements of machined parts and assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to create accurate measurement plans.Perform first article inspections (FAI) and generate detailed inspection reports.Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to address any measurement or quality issues.Maintain and update CMM programs to reflect changes in product designs and specifications.Train and support quality control personnel in the use of CMM equipment and software.Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CMM equipment and software.Ensure all measurement data is accurately recorded and reported.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

The Successful Applicant

Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or equivalent years of experience.Minimum of 3 years of experience in CMM programming and operation.Proficiency in CMM programming software such as PC-DMIS.Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.Effective communication and teamwork abilities.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
