SUMMARY

Position directs quality assurance and quality service functions of the organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This includes, but is not limited to, diversity, equity and inclusion, learning and development, performance management, and succession planning.Responsible for directing the Quality Assurance Department personnel, functions, and activities. Fostering an environment of Continuous Improvement in the workplace across departmental lines throughout the organization. Ensure compliance with all related IATF, ISO, and ISMS policies and procedures. Maintenance of the Quality Management Systems (QMS) programs to ensure processes are fully deployed and people are trained in the process. Responsible for setting and measuring the departmental goals that supports the business plan. Coordinate, train and assist in audits and inspections of operational and supplier programs and processes. Maintain and control the Quality Management Systems (QMS) for continued conformance to customer standards. Improve plant capability utilizing statistical methods (QDAS, Minitab or equivalent tools). Work with customers to develop improvement strategies for quality and cost. Fulfill the role of Management Representative for the Quality Management Systems.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work activities as prescribed by the Plant Manager and Corporate Quality Manager to subordinates.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Engineering from four-year college or university and 3-5 years experience in manufacturing quality management Preferred experience in the automotive industry Experience with FMEA, APQP, PDP, Gantt Chart, QDAS / Minitab (SPC software), MS Project and project management skills Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification Metallurgy and Materials Science experience is helpful
