Qualifications:
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician in the State of Florida.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Graduate of an approved pharmacy certification course is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a hospital pharmacy technician preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of medication preparation, including IV admixture and Unit Dose for inpatient pharmacy.
  • Ability to analyze information, perform basic math calculations, and work accurately under pressure.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with medication names and the Metric system.
Job Duties:
  • Answering phone calls and providing customer support.
  • Preparing and delivering medications to Nursing Units.
  • Participating in Lean committee initiatives.
  • Inspecting and removing outdated medications.
  • Receiving and reporting medication shipments.
  • Stocking, cleaning, and organizing the storage room.
  • Accurately preparing individual patient medications.
  • Handling specific IV admixtures and large volume IV medications.
  • Preparing Parenteral Nutrition, Chemotherapy, and Cardiovascular Trays.
  • Maintaining equipment in the Pharmacy and hospital.
