The Senior Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing comprehensive services and support that accomplish business priorities in multiple functional areas of human resources in conjunction with operations within the pharmacy businesses and American Health Partners.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
To perform this job, an individual must accomplish each essential function satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Assist in compliance complaints and in complex/sensitive employeerelated investigations
  • Conduct management and supervisor training on various HR functions including disciplinary procedures and coaching; establish expectations
  • Communicate issues to HR management for guidance in creating appropriate resolutions
  • Build credible relationships with business leaders allowing for better decisions and organizational effectiveness
  • Provide guidance to management and employees on human resource issues, employment laws, and develop new programs and initiatives to meet management needs
  • Serve as point of contact for all HR related inquiries and employee issues
  • Conduct new employee orientation and follow up with new hires weekly (first 90 days) to ensure they feel connected and a part of the team; ensure new staff members are fully prepared for assignments.
  • Perform weekly calls with divisional leaders to provide consistent communication
  • Coordinate the termination process under leave of absence programs in conjunction with the Leave of Absence Department
  • Perform stay/exit interviews; provide employee feedback on employee experience and workplace culture to leadership
  • Process status changes for employees
  • Approve employee terminations and complete separation notices; follow up as required
  • Update employee information within operating system (UKG); ensure timely and accurate entries
  • Partner with recruiter and payroll specialist to ensure all practices are running as intended
  • Manage unemployment claims process for the division and participate in unemployment hearings when necessary
  • Assist with work comp issues; ensure injury report documentation is accessible
  • Plan employee appreciation/engagement events along with employee recognition programs (Star Awards, High Fives, etc.)
  • Manage a budget for employee activities and events
  • Identify root cause issues related to retention; offer solutions for improvement
  • Assist in the planning of Town Hall meetings
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Provide excellent customer service at every interaction
  • Promote equity, fair treatment, and positive employee relations and ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws
  • Communicate professionally with internal and external team members
  • Support recruiting and retention efforts and staff from internal and external sources
  • Update internal information, spreadsheets, databases, etc.
  • Identify trends and offer recommendations for process improvement or issue resolution and create/implement an execution plan for resolution.
  • Prepare reports to support human resources initiatives and federal, state or local legally mandated reporting requirements as required
  • Manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Travel is required
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • Successfully complete required training

REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance, HIPAA, FMLA, etc.
  • Ability to build trusting and supportive relationships with operational leaders to create a cohesive partnership
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Familiarity with HR software and basic computer knowledge
  • Understanding of confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal and customerfacing skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility, willingness to learn, and ability to make decisions

Required Computer Software/Equipment used:

  • Various operating systems
  • Standard office equipment
  • Microsoft Suite applications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education:
o Associate or bachelor's degree preferred

  • Experience:
o Prefer 2 years' experience within human resources

o Multi-facility healthcare experience strongly preferred

  • Equivalency:
o Combination of education and experience acceptable

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Audio-Visual and Hearing: Good
  • Ability to lift to 20 pounds
  • Subject to standing, walking, sitting
  • Work is typically performed in a standard office environment; welllit; comfortable temperaturecontrolled
  • Position may require flexible hours, unscheduled overtime or occasional weekend work
  • Travel required
  • Onsite attendance at designated facilities required three to four days per week
