Engineering Materials Science and Engineering

A postdoctoral position is available in the Ghazisaeidi Group in the Materials Science and Engineering Department at the Ohio State University. The opportunity involves studying dislocation properties in quantum materials, via atomic-scale calculations. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Experience with VASP and high performance computing
  • Proficiency in programming (Python or C or C++ or Fortran)
  • A solid background in materials physics and defect properties

Minimum Education Required:

PhD in Materials Science and Engineering, Physics or equivalent

Desired Education:

PhD in Materials Science and Engineering

Required Experience:

At least 6 months of Experience with VASP and high-performance computing; A solid background in materials physics.

Desired Experience:

At least 1 year of experience with modeling dislocations
