Job Responsibilities/Duties:

The University of Minnesota's Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences is seeking a licensed psychologist or a PhD Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) for a clinical track faculty position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. The position includes 0.80 clinical FTE for clinical care and 0.2 academic FTE for administrative, research, teaching, and service activities.

Candidates should have experience providing evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy in multidisciplinary setting working with individual patients, families, and group psychotherapy. The candidate will be familiar with all components of an adherent DBT program including Individual DBT and coaching calls, Skills Training Group, and the DBT consultation Group for Clinicians. Additional training and expertise in the areas of Trauma-Focused therapies and family-oriented care is recommended.

The department is focused on inter-professional care and the faculty member will be involved with team-based care in addition to individual work. There will be opportunities to supervise trainees at all levels and across professions. Clinical care will be provided at the Riverside Clinic supporting Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).

This is a unique opportunity to combine delivery of care with education on effective outcomes and development of care delivery systems. The faculty member in this role will exercise creativity in clinical care and clinical programming, will teach and supervise outstanding trainees, and will have the opportunity for involvement in research. The successful applicant will join an active and growing department of 72 highly collaborative and engaged faculty members.
