AECOM is seeking a Landscape Architecture Designer III to be based in NYC

The Landscape Architecture and Urban Design portfolio in the New York City studio includes a broad range of urban-based, multidisciplinary public realm projects, such as plazas, streetscapes, parks, waterfronts, infrastructure, urban design plans, master-planning, green infrastructure, and ecological restoration.

In collaboration with design studio leadership, the candidate will work closely with project design teams and project landscape architects, managers and designers to design and assist in the execution of projects within the New York City metropolitan area, nationally and internationally. Projects in the studio are design-driven and involve close collaboration with engineers, planners, cost estimators, and other technical consultants.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


• Under the direction of Studio Leadership and Technical Landscape Architecture Leader , may independently perform advanced technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets


• Preparing specifications, reports and related data tables and performing basic architectural/engineering calculations


• Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups


• Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required


• Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may independently perform advanced technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets.


• May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.


• May assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.

Qualifications:
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

BA/BS plus (4) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications:
6 years of professional experience as a Landscape Architect working on a variety of projects including residential, corporate, and institutional campuses
Experience directing the work and production of entry level team members
Experience delivery projects from concept design through final construction document and specification sets
Construction Administration experience
NY Landscape Architect license is highly preferred
Experience developing proposals (RFP's) as a Landscape Architect
Experience working on multi-disciplinary teams
Professional experience with Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop, and AutoCAD
