Maintenance Process Coach

Description:
- The person will be supervising and working with union skilled trades that maintain and repair the equipment in the Transit Final area.
- Experience resolving conveyor issues, running maintenance projects and improving equipment downtime.
Position Duties:
- Coach Safety, Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work
- Lead skilled trades/maintenance personnel to evaluate controls requirements for maintaining and improving production efficiency, output, and up time
- Supervise preventive maintenance schedules, inspections and repairs to minimize down time
- Coordinate and schedule manpower and materials to meet maintenance requirements to minimize down time
- Responsible for monitoring day-to-day production processes, tooling, and operations related to automation equipment
- Analyze equipment performance and work to improve efficiency.
- Coordinate equipment refurbishment
- Determine and correct root cause of controls related downtime issues and get them fixed in a timely manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls. RS Logic would be ideal.
- Ability to work any shift as well as rotating shifts and weekends. Rotates every 4 months.
Skills:
Production supervision, Continuous improvement, Preventive maintenance, UAW, Hydraulics, Maintenance supervision, Pneumatics
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Must have: Maintenance supervisory experience 3+ years PLC/robotics - RS Logic or at least PLC5 Conveyor repair/maintenance - overhead Manufacturing experience - automotive a plus Computer skills Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Office)
