Here's how a Craft Employee Coordinator for our Civil Infrastructure office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of hourly craft employees
  • Administers HRPD programs and policies including the mentoring and professional development of high potential craft employees.
  • Track individual employee performance.
  • Track recruiting performance for craft employees.
  • Assists in the creation of craft training and implementation of training.
  • Processes hourly craft employee transfers between project sites.
  • Coordinates with project superintendents to evaluate manpower and workforce planning.
  • Participates in district HRPD
-strategic
planning process. Assists with development and execution of district-level projects/initiatives as assigned.

  • Maintains budget for assigned programs/initiatives.
  • Assists district HRPD manager with staff planning.
  • Assists with research and general administrative support pertaining to total rewards.
  • Assists with administration and
-supports
the succession planning process.

  • Provides administrative support for terminations.
  • Maintains and prepares scheduled and ad hoc reporting as needed.
Provides data analysis and recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Previous construction experience (Preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related discipline preferred.

  • Working towards an HR designation preferred.
-3 years of progressive human resources or related experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated understanding of HRPD related principles, practices, procedures, and employment legislation.
  • Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Ability to research, analyze information and data, and make recommendations.
  • Basic business acumen and understanding of industry practices and new developments.
  • Able to work independently or in a team environment in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational skills, high level of detail orientation, and ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deadlines.
  • Good networking skills with the ability to develop and maintain HR networks.
  • Results oriented and able to meet and drive deadlines.

Your salary, which considers your unique qualifications and experience, is just one component of the robust total rewards you'll enjoy at PCL.

This may include an employee share purchase offering, discretionary annual performance bonus, comprehensive benefits and wellness programs, retirement plan plus matching, and career development programs.

The salary range for this position is between $61,700 and $92,500 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
