ECU Health Physicians and The Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center, located in Washington, North Carolina, are seeking a BE/BC Fellowship trained Hematology Oncologist to join their cancer program. Applicants should have an interest in growing a community-based general oncology practice. Experienced applicants are preferred. New graduates are welcome to apply.

  • Clinical responsibilities will include: developing treatment plans for new diagnosis in hematology oncology patients, chemotherapy oversight, supervising advance practice provider on follow up patients, and participation in tumor board
  • Participation in a 9 -hospital system of cancer care with 5 COC accredited sites sharing a common medical record and planned COC Network
  • Close collaboration with the ECU Health Cancer Care team which includes a multidisciplinary team of specialists including radiation oncologists, hematology oncologists, surgical oncologists, gynecologic oncologist, neurological oncologist, hematology oncology fellows, and patient navigators

ECU HEALTH BEAUFORT HOSPITAL

ECU Health Beaufort Hospital in Washington, NC is a 142-bed full-service hospital with an active medical staff of more than 50 physicians representing 20+ specialties, as well as more than 600 nurses, technicians and support staff. The hospital offers a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services including medical, surgical, intensive care, emergency, pulmonology, orthopedics, urology, cardiology, and women s services. In addition there is a lab, diagnostic imaging services, physical and respiratory therapy. ECU Health Beaufort also features the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center, offering leading-edge chemotherapy and radiation therapy, among other cancer services.
