Working under the general direction of the Town Administrator, the Town Planner will be responsible for planning, organizing and directing the town's planning function in support of the town's business requirements.
Duties include managing the planning and economic development functions for the town, supervising the planning staff, reviewing subdivision and site plan proposals and preparing reports and recommendations for the Planning Board.
Manages the town's master plan and provides support for the capital improvements program.Must possess a service orientated attitude and a thorough knowledge of the operations and functions of a municipal planning department.
Requires a bachelor's degree in planning or similar discipline, master's degree highly desirable, with a minimum of seven years of related experience, including at least three years in a supervisory capacity.
American Planning Association member and American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification preferred. Must be computer literate. Salary range is $92,061 to $113,565 plus excellent benefits. A complete job description is available upon request.Submit resumes by April 19 to:
