Daikin Applied is a global leader in providing innovative HVAC solutions for commercial and industrial applications. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales, Inventory, Operations, & Planning Intern to join our dynamic Operations team. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in the field of supply chain within a leading organization.

Timeline: May - August 2024.

  • This will be an in-person, hands-on opportunity
  • Individuals must be authorized to work in the U.S.

What you will do:

  • Analyze sales and material data to develop accurate sales demand and material forecasts.
  • Utilize Excel, Microsoft Access, Visual Basic, and other tools to conduct analytical work.
  • Collaborate on current projects related to statistical processes, particularly in inventory and operations planning.
  • Participate in end-to-end planning processes, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Connect with the wider supply chain team to share insights and collaborate on forecasting initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Sophomore or Junior currently enrolled in an accredited degree program in Supply Chain
  • Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills
  • Self-motivated & detail-oriented
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Access, and Word)
  • Strong affinity for mathematics
  • Experience with Oracle, Visual Basic, and Programming languages (C# and C++)
