This individual must be highly motivated, detail oriented, organized, enthusiastic, a team player, have strong written/oral communication and time management skills, be able to multi-task, problem solve and take initiative.

He/she must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to successfully negotiate and achieve desired results, while also possessing a high level of integrity.

The associate buyer must be highly proficient in MS Excel and all company software programs.
This individual must be able to demonstrate service excellence with fellow merchandising associates, store associates, vendors and customers.

He/she must be able to travel alone multiple times a week and must have a flexible schedule Responsibility Assists buyers with various tasks and special projects Reviews and analyzes Company reports, identifies and corrects deficiencies as they relate to sales, gross margin, process, and procedures including ordering, replenishment, receiving, merchandising, authorized products, and signage.

Successfully executes Company and department programs, initiatives, and strategies Identify opportunities and adjust during regularly scheduled store visits Plays an instrumental role in store setups, renovations, resets, and remerchandises General assistant buyer duties as assigned Build and maintain strong vendor relationships and partnerships May manage selected vendors/categories Prepare, process and maintain vendor information and item authorizations Maintain price and attribute integrity of item records Write, process, distribute and maintain purchase orders Determine best purchase quantities using past sales data and trends Analyze stock levels and identify products that need reorders Manage balancing of stock Identify and input markdowns and in-store specials Update, reorder and maintain items in warehouse Write and email memos, control cards, new product presentation checklists, planograms, etc.

Assist stores in obtaining satisfactory answers to questions or problems in a timely manner Secure resolution to vendor claims and damages Distribute reports to appropriate stores or persons Actively participate in all vendor meetings Attend local trade shows and potentially select mainland trade shows Train administrative assistants Promote and ensure effective communication and feedback at all levels Follow the World Class Service company roles, expectations and behaviors Promote and uphold the mission, vision, values and goals of the company Job Type:
