THE RUNDOWN The Manager of Ticket Operations is responsible for directing all ticket operations aspects including ticketing for five ticketed sports – football, volleyball, men's and women's basketball, and wrestling – as well as any third-party events hosted in the UNI-Dome or McLeod Center. The position supervises the UNI Athletics Ticket Office, part time ticket staff and student workers. This position reports to The Director of Sales, Service, and Operations. Duties include taking and processing orders, handling cash, checks and credit cards, and processing payments on Paciolan systems. This position is also responsible for processing of the annual audit as it relates to ticketing. Duties also include executing game day ticket operations for all ticketed sports, and all ticketed on-campus events within athletic facilities, including but not limited to scheduling of student workers, management of game day workers, overseeing will call and ticket sales booths, and handling/reconciling game day starting cash.     • Assist in recruiting and hiring ticket office and event staff with diversity of age, race and ethnicity, gender, experiences, thinking styles, perspectives etc.
    • Train and supervise ticket office and event staff.
    • Monitor, manage and evaluate staff performance on an ongoing basis; establish and communicate clear sales revenue and training goals, follow up with appropriate feedback and direction for development.
    • Lead, motivate, develop and retain ticket office and gameday staff.
    • Ensure thorough understanding and adherence to all policies and procedures regarding public relations, operational goals, accounting standards, confidentiality, NCAA rules and regulations concerning ticket sales and distribution, and computer operation.
    • Ensure adherence to all Company Policies, including an acute focus on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Discrimination and Harassment policies, engaging with Human Resources as appropriate.
  • Create and implement ticket office policies and procedures following university and NCAA audit guidelines and state law.
  • Reconcile the Paciolan ticketing system to UNI's finance system.
  • Manage the preparation of various internal and external financial reports.
  • Manage all accounting functions within department including budget transfers, payroll deductions, refund checks, etc.
  • Collects ticket monies, tracks accounts payable/receivable, follows up on past due invoices, processes payments, enrolls season ticket holders in payment plans.
  • Manage year end reconciliation.
  • Coordinate with athletics business office to prepare for yearly NCAA audits.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the UNI Athletics Ticket Office.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external customers, and updates/relays all box-office related event information to each department and client.
  • Manage opening and closing procedures of the box office.
  • Manage game night events and select on sale dates.
  • Manage Paciolan programming and functionality for UNI ticket sales webpage.
  • Manage and create manifests, program best practice and procedures, season renewals, inventory management, a-z program building within Paciolan.
  • Manage the components of the Paciolan Contract.
  • Manage of ticketing hardware and software, including periodic upgrades.
  • Assist with budget development forecasting and oversight of all Box Office revenue and expense as well as select balance sheet accounts.
  • Create data rich reporting using eQuery and Excel to provide revenue goal tracking and renewal success.
  • Coordinate ticket seating locations for UNI athletic events.
  • Processes/fills approved charity tickets requests and documents all complimentary tickets issued.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with off campus representatives regarding any events held in the UNI-Dome or McLeod Center.
  • Serve as department liaison with students, faculty, staff, Alumni Association and the general public.
  • Assists in the development of marketing and promotional activities.
  • Interpret all guidelines regarding NCAA rules and regulations concerning ticket sales and distribution, including complimentary tickets for prospective student athletes.
  • Communicate with the Missouri Valley Conference on ticket distributions for any regular or post season events.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
  • Minimum 2 years of ticket operations experience (in a college athletics setting strongly preferred)
  • Expert knowledge of Paciolan 7, eQuery and eVenue ticketing and reporting systems is preferred
  • Highly organized with an ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to understand policy implications of accounting rules and cash collection
  • Ability to speak, hear, and interact verbally with clients, guests, and university personnel both over the phone and in person at the window
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, customers and the general public
  • Ability to read and write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
  • Ability to contribute to the maintenance of good working relationships with all members of the division
  • Possess attention to detail, ability to remain calm under pressure, and ability to demonstrate supervisory and leadership skills
  • Must be able to problem-solve and make decisions quickly and with knowledge and authority
  • Ability to exhibit the highest professional standards and ethical behavior with regard to adherence to NCAA Conference, University, and the Department of Athletics Code of Ethics and rules and regulations

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as required
  • Knowledge of HTML for coding eVenue is a plus
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft applications and operation systems
