PUBLIC Areas Housekeeping Supervisor – FULL-TIME YEAR-ROUND position

Our Public Areas Housekeeping Supervisor position is a full-time year-round position assisting our Housekeeping Manager in all aspects of Operations including supervising Associates, common areas and private residence cleaning, laundry, inventory of supplies, scheduling, training, inspection of the common areas and residence properties, and assisting with shuttling team members from housing to the worksite. Work includes working in a cold winter environment moving from one public area to another worksite. During the off-season the Public Area Supervisor takes over cleaning duties and special projects. You will maintain a positive and friendly attitude with all members, guests, and associates. And act as the communicator and liaison between member owners and cleaning staff.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Prepare and distribute assignment sheets to assigned staff and review priorities.
  • Communicate additions or changes to the assignment sheets as they arise throughout the shift.
  • Inspect public areas/bathrooms, fitness center, offices, and service areas while in public areas.
  • Directly contact the housekeeper and relay any deficiencies to be corrected.
  • Report maintenance repairs and submit to Management. Contact Engineering directly for urgent repairs.
  • Assist with inspecting homes cleaned by assigned housekeeper, using designated checklist as needed.
  • Update home status after approving cleanliness and condition in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Conduct training of staff as assigned.
  • Provide feedback on staff performance to the manager. Report disciplinary problems to manager and participate in conflict resolution with team members.
  • Making sure your team completes all their daily closing duties.
  • Complete all paperwork and closing duties before leaving. Review status of assignments and any follow-up action with manager and/or on-coming supervisor.
  • Shuttle employees to and from employee housing and Moonlight, and from worksite to worksite and to employee dining as assigned.

KEYS TO SUCCESS

  • Two years of housekeeping supervisory or related supervisory experience, or at least four years of housekeeping experience.
  • Minimum of two years of housekeeping experience.
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements, and use of equipment.
  • Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
  • Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers.
  • Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal.
  • Able to speak and understand Spanish is helpful but not required.
  • Ability to compute mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule: mornings, nights, holidays, and weekends when needed.
  • GED or High School Diploma is preferred.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and clean driving record (parking tickets are acceptable)
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of member owners and guest information.
