VA Northern California Health Care System is looking for an Orthopedic Physician to serve Veterans at the Sacramento VA Medical Center as office-based orthopedic surgeon.

The incumbent participates in all aspects of the outpatient care including:

outpatient orthopaedic care (invasive and noninvasive) to all scheduled and limited walk-in patients, providing the patient with risks, benefits, and alternative treatments and obtaining informed consent from the patient or guardian before conducting invasive procedures as dictated by policy and best medical practices.

Incumbent is accountable to the Chief, Orthopedics under the Surgical Services Department and is responsible for managing the most effective delivery of state-of-the-art local outpatient orthopedic care including consult/referral review, triage and forwarding/initiating of referrals/consults as clinically indicated.
