Job Description

The responsibilities of the QA Mananger are

Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure the production of safe and high-quality dairy products.Lead and manage a team of quality assurance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the execution of quality control processes.Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes, equipment, and facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP).Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and procurement, to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics, such as product specifications, defect rates, and customer complaints, to identify trends and implement preventive measures.Manage the documentation and record-keeping processes related to quality assurance activities, including SOPs, batch records, and quality reports.Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to dairy product manufacturing and quality assurance, and implement relevant updates as needed.Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, customers, and third-party auditors during inspections and audits, ensuring compliance and addressing any issues or concerns.

The Successful Applicant

A successful plant quality assurance manager candidate must have

5+ years of experience in a QA supervisory or QA management positionExperience managing in a food manufacturing environmentCommitment to teamwork, a positive attitude, and hardworkingGood understanding of all continuous improvement production techniquesTrained in OSHA requirements or expectations, HACCP, First Aid/CPR, and Food HygieneKnowledge of large-scale food business start-up Able to be onsite daily M-F in Los Angeles, CaliforniaBilingual in SpanishNot for New York City Applicants.Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, Michael Page will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.Michael Page will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance.
