As a Team Lead, you will manage a small team of software engineers. You will also be expected to interact with the Lead Product Manager, the Chief Scientist, and the CEO of the company in order to inform and influence the decision-making processes of the company and to translate them into actionable engineering goals.

This position is ideal for the candidate who seeks a small, friendly company culture where one can work closely with smart and highly productive people across a very interesting spectrum of AI-based audio processing technologies to develop outstanding consumer products.

In this role, You Will

Be a player/coach.

Manage a small team of software engineers

Develop software for a wide variety of platforms and technologies.

Engage in the research, evaluation, and application of new technologies and methodologies to solve challenging project goals.

Take part in the entire project lifecycle, from requirements development to deployment.

Work with cross-functional teams to develop highly reliable software that runs at scale.

Essential Skills Required

Prior experience with managing software engineer(s)

Strong programming skills; C++, Java, and/or object-oriented programming.

Familiarity with and/or willingness to learn MATLAB/Simulink software development

Software engineering experience gained from work experience, academic projects, internship experience or independent hacking projects.

Knowledge of Android application development concepts, principles, and technologies.

Advantageous Skills

Experience in or familiarity with any of the following is a plus.

audio processing/analytics.

automatic speech/speaker recognition

machine learning

iOS application development

software development for specialized embedded systems

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related field or equivalent work experience.

3+ years of professional software development experience, including some experience leading teams of 2+ software engineers in a small (less than 50 people) company environment.
