This position will serve as the town's primary water operator while assisting the DPW Director with all public works operations.
Avon DPW has a variety of ongoing infrastructure projects, and we are looking for an individual who would like to advance their knowledge of public works operations and be part of a great team.
Provides professional, technical, administrative, and supervisory work for the proper oversight and safe operation of Avon's water system.Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field; a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in municipal water operations and public works; Massachusetts drinking water supply operator's licenses Grade 2 distribution and Grade 2 treatment, and a valid driver's license.
Training, experience, licensure, with demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities, will also be considered.New starting salary range of $105,000 to $110,000.
