SPACE SYSTEMS

Rocket Lab's Space Systems team is responsible for every satellite and satellite component made by Rocket Lab: from complete satellites destined for missions to the Moon and Mars, to the individual components and subsystems that make up a satellite like solar panels, flight software, reaction wheels and star trackers, separation systems, radios, and more. FACILITIES TECHNICIAN I - CHEM SUPPORT

As a Facilities Technician I - Chem Support based at Rocket Lab's site in Albuquerque, New Mexico, you will be responsible for production, chemical delivery, waste removal, facilities maintenance and ERT team support. You will support the Facilities Manager and operations organization, with deliverables required for internal leadership, board of directors, and investors. WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:

Store, set up and/or deliver production chemicals used in a manufacturing or process area where accuracy of chemical composition is importantAssists with removal and disposal of waste chemicals, solids, solvents and acids. Assists in the separation and removal of recycled waste and packaging materialsBe responsible for operating safely and efficiently to meet production objectivesParticipate on the ERT Emergency Response TeamMaintain facilities systems while working in the Facilities Dept.Work in and around semiconductor clean rooms and other production areasYOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or equivalent2+ years of experience in a production/manufacturing environmentTHESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:Forklift experienceOsha and/or safety trainingPrevious Clean Room work environment is a plusADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this positionAble to lift up to 25lbs. unassistedMust be able to climb ladders and be comfortable working in tight spaces.Must be able to move repetitively, bend or twist, and use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls.Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods – 8 hours min Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and being able to maneuver in tight spaces WHAT TO EXPECT
