Job Description:

  • The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for the accounting functions of roughly (3-5) of those subsidiaries. This position will report to the Accounting Manager & is a great opportunity for an experienced candidate to work for a growing company.
  • Prepare & record journal entries including allocation, accruals, payroll, etc.
  • Ensure the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close is completed accurately, including preparation & review of Balance Sheet reconciliations as well as P&L Statements.
  • Review system transactions to assess proper recording of G/L activity.
  • Work & communicate with other departments to increase financial reporting accuracy.
  • Ad hoc projects as required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVES:

  • 3-5 years of accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Related field.
  • Strong research and reconciliation skills required.
  • Experience with learning new financial accounting systems (ERP)
  • Month end, Balance sheet, Reconciliation, General ledger, Journal entry, audit

NICE TO HAVE:


• Relevant industry experience, building or distribution or real estate industry.


• Ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize


• Knowledge and exposure to multi-company organizations a plus

Experience Level:

Intermediate Level
