Job Summary and QualificationsUnder the supervision of the Transportation Manager, the Paratransit Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of PACE participants. Including transport of paratransit (ambulatory and wheelchair-bound) participants, durable medical equipment, pharmacy and any other transportation as deemed necessary. Responsible for overall cleanliness and safety of the vehicle assigned on a daily basis. Responsible for communicating any safety issue(s) to the Transportation Manager.
What qualifications you will need:
- High School Graduate / GED
- NC Drivers License
- One year experience working with and/or transporting the frail and elderly.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support, or First Aid Basic must be obtained within 15 days of employment start date
Highlands-Cashiers Hospital is a community hospital serving Macon, Jackson and the surrounding counties. Located between the towns of Highlands and Cashiers, the hospital offers 24/7 emergency care, acute inpatient care, rehabilitation, as well as long-term care through Eckerd Living Center. Ambulatory services are also available, including therapy services and primary care. Highlands-Cashiers Hospital has more than 24 beds for acute care services and 80+ beds in the Eckerd Living Center.
