As a Paralegal Specialist, you will perform the following duties:

Performs extensive and thorough legal research into the legislative history, present cases, decisions, and opinions that may be necessary for developing the analysis of issues pertaining to federal ethics laws and regulations.

Compiles accurate and factual information using electronic systems; maintains comprehensive electronic files; and processes and tracks data and statistics of office programs.

Conducts first-level document reviews and performs comprehensive legal analysis of responses to requests for information submitted under the provisions of various acts, including, but not limited to, the Freedom of Information Act, OIG Request for Information, OGE 201 Requests, and related litigation.

Presents findings and recommendations on complex issues or problems impacting well-established programs projects of limited scope, or facets of larger, complex projects and programs.

Provides high-level professional organizational and administrative support, such as preparing detailed reports related to office programs, managing and effectively organizing information.

Prepares, edits, and redacts documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.

Drafts advisories, correspondences, memoranda, forms or reports and other written materials, while exercising attention to detail, in adherence with established policies and procedures.

Provides timely feedback to internal and external queries, including meeting deadlines and established due dates, and provides accuracy in work product, excellent organization, time management, and multi-tasking.


Note:
The position is advertised at the GS11 and GS12 levels. The major duties listed above are described at the highest performance level, the GS12.
