Core Hospitals

SLH is comprised of three hospitals and a number of outreach primary and specialty care practices throughout St. Lawrence County. Each practice is affiliated with one of our hospitals.

Canton-Potsdam Hospital (CPH) is a not-for-profit community healthcare facility certified for 94 beds. Its core programs include emergency medicine, acute care, hospitalist medicine, critical care, and a Level III Trauma Center that is fully equipped to provide rapid and thorough trauma care to adults involved in physically traumatic situations.Gouverneur Hospital (GH) is a not-for-profit critical access hospital certified for 25 beds. Services include emergency care, medical imaging and EKGs, laboratory, physical rehabilitation, and respiratory therapy. GH also houses our comprehensive substance abuse rehabilitation programs, including medicated assisted treatment, and behavioral therapies.Massena Hospital (MH) is a 25-bed acute care hospital providing inpatient, medical, surgical, and detoxification services in addition to emergency care. MH s main campus also provides medical imaging and laboratory services, nutritional counseling, respiratory care, cardiac rehabilitation, and inpatient physical and speech therapies. Outreach health centers offer the community cardiology, infusion, nephrology, neurology, OB-GYN and women s health, pediatrics, and primary care.The Practice

St. Lawrence Health offers compassionate diagnosis, management, and treatment of conditions and diseases of the brain and nervous system. The Neurology team is committed to carefully creating personalized treatment plans to ensure seamless neurologic care.

Our specially trained neurologists are proficient at diagnosing complex conditions through a detailed medical history and physical examination, including testing of mental status, vision, speech, strength, sensation, coordination, reflexes, and gait. Neurology disorders diagnosed and treated include: Alzheimer s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), concussion, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson s disease, stroke.

Our neurology experts use the latest and most technologically advanced imaging equipment to accurately diagnose and treat a wide range of neurological disorders. Diagnostic services include: angiography, biopsies, blood tests, CT scan, EEG, EMG, lab tests, MRIs, PET, SPECT, spinal taps, urinalysis.

St. Lawrence Health is looking for full-time Neurologists to join the team.

The ideal candidate will be BE within 5 years of completing residency or BC in Neurology.The position is clinical based with occasional consult at hospital(s).Skills: EMG.Financial Package

Compensation: Competitive compensation based on MGMA benchmarking

Signing Bonus: $35,000/3 year; $25,000/2 year

Relocation: $15,000

Licensing & Dues: $2,000

CME s: $4,000

Benefit Time: 240 hours

Holiday Time: 7 days
