Senior Back-end Node JS Developer with AWS

Cognizant is looking for a Senior NodeJS Developer with proven ability in developing applications and any front-end application. In this role the candidate should have complete understanding of NodeJS and its main fundamentals. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership/best practices to improve our current services and technologies.

Location: Bloomfield, Connecticut. Open for Remote

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Looking for a Senior Back end Developer who is passionate about design, architecture and programming.
  • Responsibilities include implementing business logic and developing APIs and services.
  • Your primary focus will be development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of databases, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
  • Passionate about and software design/architecture
Requirements:
  • 8 to 10 years of experience overall
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in NodeJS based API development
  • Minimum 5 years of exp in JavaScript and Typescript implementations
  • Experience with , Nest JS or other frameworks.
  • Good understanding of API development REST
  • Some experience with relational/NoSQL databases
  • Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and components like EC2, Lambda, Step function etc.
  • Solid understanding and extensive experience with version control tools like Git, SVN or Mercurial
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
  • Familiarity with newer specifications of ECMAScript
  • Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., )
  • Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
  • Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
  • Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  • A knack for benchmarking and optimization
  • Exceptional problem solving and ability to work independently

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 7/26/2024

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 to 141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
