The Biomotion laboratory at the University of Kentucky
) has an exciting opportunity for anindividual interested in lower extremity orthopedic and sports injuries. Our work centersaround uncovering mechanisms for protracted impairments following injuries anddeveloping novel therapeutic interventions. We use a variety of techniques ranging frommagnetic resonance imaging to 3D biomechanics.

The person in this position should be passionate about orthopedic research, enjoy beingpart of a diverse team of clinicians and scientists, and is committed to developing as anindependent funded research agenda.

The Biomotion laboratory is funded through grants with the NIH, DOD, and foundations.
There are numerous opportunities for collaboration, professional growth, anddevelopment on our team. We provide individual mentorship and work closely with boththe Departments of Physical Therapy and Orthopedic Surgery. We strive to foster aninclusive community of people passionate about how to best improve outcomes forindividuals with knee injuries.

The Biomotion laboratory is well equipped with everything needed for biomechanics research, contains its own physical therapy clinic, clinicalspace, and access to a research 3T MRI unit.

Lexington is a beautiful city situated in the rolling foot hills of the bluegrass region ofKentucky. There are numerous outdoor activities ranging from trail running, climbing,caving and kayaking, all within an hour's drive. Lexington also has a rich culturalenvironment with a strong arts and music scene. Additionally, Lexington benefits from avery reasonable cost of living and temperate weather.
