Job Title: Physical Therapy TechnicianJob Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Physical Therapy Technician to join our team at Wellward Regenerative Medicine. As a Physical Therapy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our physical therapists in providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and Maintenance: Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring they are neat and clean.
  • Patient Interaction: Interview patients to obtain medical information, measure vital signs, weight, and height, and document in our electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Instrument Cleaning and Sterilization: Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
  • Exercise Classes: Assist or independently conduct group exercise classes, requiring knowledge of resistance exercise and a willingness to learn more in-depth concepts.
  • Treatment Procedures: Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, and physician instructions to patients.
  • Assistance to Doctors: Assist doctors with various tasks, including labs, imaging, bracing, taping, strapping, fitting, removing sutures, changing dressing on wounds, and other related tasks.
  • Scheduling and Communication: Contact medical facilities or departments to schedule patients for tests, referrals, or admissions.
  • Housekeeping and Inventory: Perform laundry, cleaning, sterilization, organization, and other housekeeping duties, and communicate when supplies are low to ensure proper inventory.
  • Education and Growth: Continuously educate yourself and grow professionally, attending team meetings and health fairs as needed.

  • Active Listening and Speaking: Possess active listening and speaking skills to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues.
  • Documenting and Recording: Accurately document and record patient information in our EMR system.
  • Conflict Resolution and Problem-Solving: Exhibit strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills to address patient concerns and issues.
  • Organizational and Planning Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational and planning skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
