Works with business leaders and their leadership teams on a strategic and operational basis, providing insight and input into the development of business strategy and people plans, translating business goals into HR requirements, driving the implementation of organization and People Plans for the respective unit(s).
You'll be responsible for:
Acting as a strategic business partner to leadership teams providing input into decisions and plans for the business unit(s), leading autonomous HR business activity for respective unit(s).Partnering with leaders to drive change, organisational development and risk analysis including the use of data to drive effective decision making.
Partnering with leaders and leadership teams to drive strategic workforce planning and resource management, including mobilisation and demobilisation.
Working closely with all areas of the People Team to effectively deliver the annual people calendar activities.
Coordinating with the talent attraction team to facilitate effective recruitment and onboarding for the business unit(s).
Supporting leaders and leadership teams to manage performance, employee relations, wellbeing, engagement and retention activities.
Contributing into the reward team, facilitating the annual reward review and alignment to the career framework for your business unit(s).
Developing business unit to effectively manage performance improvement and poor conduct through the disciplinary and grievance policy, seeking support from the employee relations team where appropriate.
Actively supporting business unit(s) with career growth for employees through effective talent management and development, working closely with the talent, development and inclusion team.
Partnering with business leaders and management teams to drive the implementation of effective engagement and retention plans, aligned to the business purpose, values and behaviours.
Working on HR projects in all areas, as required by the Engine HR lead or CPO.
Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You'll need to have:
Recognised as a capable HR professional able to apply theory and put HR skills into practice to solve problems and issues of diverse scope, and with a degree of complexity.A good understanding of the employee lifecycle, the diverse needs at specific stages and how to integrate people policies and practice in the delivery of people plans.
Ability to demonstrate an advanced level of professional skills and knowledge in: Developing people plans and strategies; attracting, recruiting and onboarding talent; assessing and building capability; identifying, developing and managing talent; reward and recognition.
Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of the professional skills & knowledge in: Managing change; workforce planning; delivering the employee experience and building an inclusive culture; employment policy, regulation and law; organisational design.
Experience in the use of human capital management system.
Ability to demonstrate an advanced level of professional skills and knowledge in relationship and stakeholder management; consulting; facilitation and coaching.
Ability to demonstrates a good understanding of the professional skills and knowledge in risk management; strategic thinking; project management; negotiation and influencing; judgement and decision making; critical thinking.
Ability to confront unacceptable behaviour openly and corrects it, giving balanced feedback and support to improve performance.
Ability to create opportunities to coach and develop others and sets challenging goal for self.
Ability to set quality, performance and capability goals in line with organisational priorities and goals.
You'll also have:
Project management skills/experience.Previous experience working in a business partner capacity.
Ability to encourage individual development and builds high performing inclusive teams.
Education to degree level (or equivalent).
