Our client is looking to add a
Controller
to the team. The current Controller is retiring and this role will have two direct reports. Looking for someone personable, friendly, and that likes to take a collaborative approach to partnering with both finance and non-financial relationships.

General Description:
  • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
  • Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly.
  • Process payroll in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed.
  • Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis.
  • Maintain the chart of accounts.
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
  • Update and maintain Business Intelligence Reporting Tool.
  • Issue timely and complete financial statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Manage the Sales and Use Tax software and maintain the integration with the accounting records.
  • Work closely with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations. Prepare and submit necessary tax filings and documentation.
  • Assist in annual insurance renewals application process.
  • Report sales to vendors as requested by VP-Operations and Business Development.
  • Handles accounting questions and requests by customers and resolves issues as needed.
  • Maintain personnel records as necessary in coordination with the company Human Resources coordinator.
  • Participate in the annual employee benefits renewal.
  • Projects as requested by VP Finance/CFO.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
