Summary

This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY SURFACE MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D1252000and is part of the NJ CSMS 1, National Guard.

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a supervisor and technical authority over one or more Army National Guard (ARNG) surface maintenance facilities

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED



Duties

As a SUPERVISORY SURFACE MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST, GS , you will:

  • Exercises administrative and technical supervision over one or more surface maintenance facilities, e.g., CSMS, MATES, UTES and/or FMS. Plans and schedules work to be accomplished by subordinates.
  • Develops, implements, and oversees the quality assurance program for assigned surface maintenance facilities.
  • Provides technical guidance to assigned maintenance activities through coordinated assistance or evaluation visits.
  • Oversees hazardous waste/industrial hygiene programs for maintenance facilities supervised. Identifies special tools, test equipment requirements, and coordinates procurement as needed. Provides technical guidance to supply and Class 9 (CL IX) functions. May participate as a member of the Command Maintenance Evaluation Team (COMET) team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
