About your role
As a Product Designer at Voxel51, you'll be responsible for designing user-centric software that is highly functional and visually appealing. You'll work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to turn complex problems and user workflows into elegant design solutions.
As our first Product Design hire, there's ample opportunity to shape our design language and establish good design systems and fundamentals that will set us up for success as we scale our product and team. We're looking for a high-impact, power IC that carries best-practices from previous roles with them and is seeking a multidisciplinary role that requires autonomy, education, and collaboration.
Every member of our fully-remote team is empowered to own their work and play an active role in making visual AI a reality.
What you will do
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product vision and user requirements
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for our web-based software
- Mature our design language and reusable component library and champion its adoption
- Conduct user research and usability tests to gather insights and validate design decisions
- Iterate on designs based on feedback and testing results to refine and enhance user experience
- Stay current with design trends, tools, and technologies
- Be creative, test the status quo, and bring fresh ideas to the team
What you should bring
- 5+ years of product design experience (preference for developer tools/ML software platforms)
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
- Proven experience delivering high-quality products with a portfolio that showcases your skills
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions effectively
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus
The cash compensation for this person is in the range of $160K-$180K. In addition to this base comp for this role, we offer equity in the form of options, a variety of benefits, a 401K match, and the opportunity to grow in an exciting and collaborative environment.
