Reporting to the Communications Leader and working with regional and global communications colleagues and agencies, you will help contribute to elevating our brand and reputation among key stakeholders. Our interns gain hands-on experience in both internal and external communications. You will work closely with our seasoned communications team and business leaders to support and execute communication plans that align with our overall business objectives.

Key responsibilities

Content Creation:


• Develop engaging content for various communication channels, including internal social media platform (powered by Meta), our external website, media releases, and social media platforms.


• Collaborate with different departments to gather information and create compelling stories that showcase our company culture and sustainability achievements. Internal Communication:


• Support the creation and distribution of internal communications, ensuring employees are informed and engaged.


• Assist in organizing and promoting internal events, meetings, and initiatives in our Beloit innovation center and our manufacturing sites.

External Relations:


• Assist in maintaining positive relationships with external stakeholders.


• Support the preparation of media materials.


• Support government and industry dignitary visits and events.

Public Analytics and Reporting:


• Help monitor and analyze the performance of communication strategies through metrics and analytics tools.


• Contribute to regular reports and insights to improve future communication initiatives.

Qualifications and skills


• Current enrollment in a relevant undergraduate program (communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, media studies, or related field).


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.


• Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation tools.


• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills.


• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment: good team player with strong work ethic.


• Open to inclusive and diverse perspectives.
