The VA CCN Pharmacy Benefit Manager is responsible for management of the VA CCN pharmacy requirements, execution, and quality. This role is critical to guarantee that the execution of the pharmacy benefit for Veterans, under VA CCN, is in alignment with the VA CCN Contract. Duties include flawless execution of all contractual requirements, collaboration with our Pharmacy partner, CVS; and creation of contract modification solutions as they impact the pharmacy requirements. This role will also meet and interact with their counterparts at the Department of Veterans Administration.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
Execute the Pharmacy benefit as outlined in the VA CCN contract including adherence to the required pharmacy Performance Objectives (PO's) and DeliverablesCollaborate with CVS to ensure our PBM partner has appropriate requirements in order to execute the benefit in alignment with the contractWork with OptumServe contract office conducting regular business reviews with CVSSupport modification solutions as related to pharmacy requirementsProvide updates to leadership regarding Performance Objectives, Deliverables, pharmacy metrics, and other updates neededHold regular reviews with the VA working through contract modifications and any other issues as they ariseOversight over pharmacy claim and invoice issues and prompt identification and correction of any issues that ariseServe as the VA CCN Pharmacy Benefit point of contact on the CCN Pharmacy Benefit for internal business partners such as Payment Integrity, Compliance, Government Relations, Customer Service, Contracts, etc.Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasksLooks for opportunities to collaborate and build relationships improving work product and servicesCommitment to high-quality results through the use of time, resources and effort.You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required Qualifications:
3+ years related experience in pharmacy field3+ years of experience working with external customer and/or vendorsExperience identifying and helping solve problems that impact the management and direction of the businessProficient experience with Microsoft Office programsProven solid data management, analytical, and problem-solving skillsPreferred Qualifications:
Experience in the healthcare industryDHA / VA / Government contract experienceMilitary and/or VA experienceDemonstrated knowledge of project management principles*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy
California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
