We host 270 wedding annual, several galas, and hundreds of Baby, Bridal showers and special events

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic Banquet team. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Banquets Chef to oversee kitchen operations, manage food preparation, and maintain high standards of quality and consistency. You will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary creativity while leading a team of passionate cooks and kitchen staff.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Banquet Chef to develop innovative menus tailored to our clients' preferences and dietary requirements
Oversee food preparation, ensuring that dishes are prepared according to established recipes and standards of presentation
Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to promote skill development and teamwork
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies to maintain sufficient stock of ingredients and kitchen supplies
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective measures as needed
Assist in planning and coordinating catering events, working closely with event planners and clients to ensure seamless execution
Participate in menu tastings and client meetings, offering expertise and guidance to enhance the overall dining experience
Qualifications: Proven experience working as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary institution
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency in menu planning, recipe development, and food costing
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules
Creative flair and passion for culinary arts
