General Summary:


The Senior Manager of Social Media Strategy will be responsible for driving results driven marketing efforts across all social media platforms.

This person will be responsible for executing the social strategy, growing brand awareness, increasing fan acquisition while ensuring engaging content to increase brand affinity.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and overseeing the execution of Digital + Social Media Strategy for the Betsey Johnson brand and consulting on digital strategy and innovations for the Steve Madden family of brands.

This role, a senior level manager and strategist, is responsible for leading digital marketing and social media strategy to enhance business and brand objectives, including but not limited to content strategy, social promotion strategy, engagement strategy, conversion strategy, etc.

This position works closely with several key groups including our Marketing, Creative, e-Commerce, Wholesale and Licensing teams. This position will report directly into the Creative Director.

Major Responsibilities:
Conceptualize and manage execution of content and social strategy across all touchpoints and platforms

Oversee the development of the content calendar across all social platforms to support the marketing of the brand, assisting in content creation and user generated content moderation as needed.

Working cross-functionally with outside teams for approvals where necessary
Lead copy editing for all social media copy
Partner closely with PR/Influencer team, identifying opportunities within influencer programs and user-generated campaigns
Partner closely with Product and Ecommerce teams to coordinate social media support for promotion and themes
Manage social listening reports; identifying issues, patterns and trends in consumer comments/inquiries and summarize key themes monthly
Measure and analyze to establish ROI determined by KPIs (Audience Growth, Audience Profile, Audience Engagement, Content Reach, Engagement by Content Type, Leads, Response Rate and Quality, Negative Feedback, etc.)
Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy and implement ongoing education for the team

Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising social media, content marketing, and social advertising campaigns.

Monitor effective benchmarks (Best Practices) for measuring the impact of social media campaigns.
Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns to maximize results.
Lead social community management for Betsey Johnson's digital presence, strengthening the bond between follower and brand
Cultivate and maintain relationships with social influencers
Align and work with legal for contest, campaigns, and influencers to ensure all programs are executed properly.

Manage the flow of content creation to ensure content is developed in a timely manner, proactively finding opportunities and efficiencies to maximize content opportunities.

Drive weekly, monthly, and quarterly analytics reporting process for social media results and work closely with the Creative Director to provide insights, recommendations, and track against KPIs
Lead digital strategy key product launches, celebrity collaborations and partnerships, events, and activations
Align and work with legal for contest, campaigns, and influencer partnerships to ensure all programs are executed properly
Must have experience managing a direct reports

Job Specific Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising or Business preferred
Strong desire to inspire creativity, innovative thinking and strong marketing concepts and solutions
Experience developing social media marketing communication strategies and campaigns
Brand copywriting/social media experience is critical
Interest in and aptitude for developing digital brand marketing, social media and content strategy solutions across a variety of industries (fashion, luxury at a global brand is preferred, editorial background is a plus)
Minimum of 5+ years of social media experience for a consumer brand and/or digital/social media agency
Monitors the latest trends in social media to improve campaign performance and provide recommendations
Strategic thinker with an in-depth understanding of analytics and social reporting
Comfortable with digital and social analytics software (Dash Hudson)
Demonstrates strategic insight to develop long term execution plans from client's stated business objectives and implement those plans
Exhibits solid communication skills to effectively present strategic and tactical plans to clients and internal teams - new business experience a plus
Demonstrates understanding of and ability to facilitate and manage forecasting, budgeting, and pacing, campaign creation and optimization
Possesses well-developed analytical ability to extract insight from data and plan next steps across multiple marketing mediums
Organized with the ability to self-manage through project managing skills in making tight deadlines across teams

Salary Range:
The pay range of this position is $90k - $100k. Actual salary will be determined based off candidate's skill sets, years of experience, and other job-related factors. This range does not include benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, 401K, and additional company benefits
