The primary purpose of this position is to provide a Chief, Staffing Section and first-level supervisor in an operational personnel office. Supervises the installations civilian recruitment and placement programs at a complex, multi-mission Air Force Installation.



Duties
  • Performs administrative and technical duties as a first level supervisor. Serves as a lead staffing specialist resolving very difficult personnel problems in one or more disciplines (staffing, EEO, resource management) in support of a major headquarters organization (e.g. Major/Unified Command) and throughout the installation.
  • Performs a broad range of management advisory services for recruitment and placement of civilian employees for unique and dynamic organizations (e.g. Major/Unified Command). Participates in special projects and initiatives and performs special assignments.
  • Participates in the administration of self-evaluation.
  • Administers the Civilian Human Resource Management program for the installation. Advises management on efficient and effective use of civilian human resources.
  • Provides oversight for the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program to establish plans to enhance civilian employment opportunities of minorities, people with disabilities and women; and coordinates and approves quarterly quarterly briefings to the EEO Committee on program objectives and status.
