Child Care Assistant Cook

Bring your cooking talents and kitchen skills to work each day, as an Assistant Cook at Bright Horizons at Urban Plaza in Kirkland, WA. You'll help plan menus, help prepare meals, and order inventory as you make a real difference in the lives of children, families, and staff. This position offers full time hours - 20 hours assisting in the kitchen and 20 hours assisting in classrooms It's the best of both worlds 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. are the AWESOME hours offered each day Monday - Friday No weekends
**We could also consider part time, working in the kitchen each day from 1:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. if a part time Assistant Cook position is what interests you

As an Assistant Cook, you will:
- Plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals for children and staff.
- Keep an accurate inventory of supplies and place orders as needed.
- Manage all aspects of prepping and preparing meals, as well as cleaning and complying with sanitation requirements.
Candidates must pass required state and company background checks, and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements:
- At least 18 years of age with a high school degree or GED required
- Relevant experience working in a licensed child care center, public school, or commercial kitchen required
- Food service/food handler permit or license according to state/local regulations required

Compensation Range: $ $22.00 / hrThe range of compensation listed here or that may be discussed in the interview process is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening.
