Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ownership includes both quality assurance and quality control for New Product Introduction (NPI). Includes quality assurance of products, services, manufacturing processes. Includes conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, etc.
  • Author and update quality documents such as control plans (CP), inspection sheets, standardized work instructions, and knowledgeable with process failure mode & effects analysis (PFMEA).
  • Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
  • In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
  • A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Quality, Continuous Improvement.
  • At least 1 year of leadership leading teams or projects effectively.
  • Ability to use systematic approach to problem solve. (i.e., 8-D, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), component swap, design of experiments (DOE), PDCA, and cause-and-effect diagram to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence)

Desired Characteristics

  • 3 years of experience in production quality.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with ability to convey information clearly and inspire a team.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledgeable with GD&T and print reading.
  • Knowledgeable with measurement systems analysis (MSA) tools such as Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility (GRR).
  • Knowledgeable with process assessment tools such as SPC & capability indices.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and willingness to learn and grow.

The base pay range for this position is 80, ,600 . The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. ​

*The company pays a geographic differential of 100%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
