Duties:

The Meetings & Events Intern will provide support to the Senior Meetings & Events Manager and the Meetings & Events Specialist for day-to-day meetings operations. This position includes – but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Senior Meetings & Events Manager and Meetings & Events Specialist as requested
  • Produce Post Event reports
  • Contact internal meeting owners to collect Agendas/Attendee Lists for files
  • Close meeting tickets within KBR's internal software
  • Update restaurant files with current menus, group menus, etc.
  • Data entry for various hotel rooming lists
  • Attend a local Huntsville hotel site visit with the Meetings team
  • Work on a meeting from start to finish with Senior Meetings & Events Manager, or Specialist
  • Complete payment requests including credit card authorization forms
  • Utilize the Travel share drive and functional mailboxes assigned for Meetings & Events

Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Detail oriented and able to multi-task
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be goal-oriented and accountable
  • Must have ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Must be able to be self-directed as needed

Education:

  • Currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year college or university

Location: Huntsville
